Affordability
As you consider the cost of having a personal chef and wonder if you can afford it, think about everything that goes into either making a meal or going out to eat and try to calculate the cost.
Making a meal:
“I’m making the grocery list, what do you want this week?” You’ve probably either asked or have been asked this question before. Planning a weeks worth of healthy and flavorful meals takes time and effort and everyone gets into ruts eating the same thing week after week.
Let’s face it, grocery shopping is a time consuming chore, one you’re typically forced to do when you’d least like to. That also happens to be the same time everyone else goes shopping – evenings and weekends. Chef Matt keeps you from dealing with the hassle of shopping with the masses. No more dealing with parking lots and checkout lines: no more picking through what’s left of the meats, seafood and produce at the end of the day. Did I mention with gas prices these days you could pay for at least one meal with the savings in fuel costs just by avoiding the grocery store.
Now let’s say you’ve planned your meals and done the shopping. Now you actually have to follow through with the rest of the plan…cooking every night! How much food do you throw away each week because “life happened” and you didn't have time to cook, or you put some fresh meat or produce in the fridge and by the time you got to it, it was spoiled?
Like to clean? Probably not. But every time you fire up that stove or turn on the oven, you know there’s going to be some cleaning in the near future. Chef Matt solves all those problems and more.
Dining out is even more costly. Entrées, side items, salads and drinks all add up. After it does add up you get to tack on an additional 15 to 20 percent for the gratuity. And if you’re on any kind of restrictive diet you have very little control over how your food is prepared. Just a little food for thought prepared just for you by Chef Matt.
